Softball Recap: Wekiva Takes a Loss

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Wekiva was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against the Windermere Prep Lakers, falling 16-1. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lakers from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.

Camilla Delgado made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Delgado is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stole at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Wekiva now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Windermere Prep, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Wekiva will be playing at home against Dr. Phillips at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windermere Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Orangewood Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
