Basketball Recap: Woodmere Academy Wins High-Profile Game Against John Marshall

Woodmere Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of John Marshall. Woodmere Academy walked away with a 59-47 win over the John Marshall Justices.

John Marshall's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Latrell Allmond, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Allmond's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Troy Henderson was another key player, going 7 of 13 en route to 17 points.

Woodmere Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which lines up perfectly with their 12-4 record this season. As for John Marshall, their loss ended a 23-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-1.
