Recap: Moorcroft Wolves vs. Wright Panthers
The Moorcroft Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell 50-37 to Wright. Moorcroft was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wright apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Moorcroft's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Elise Kuhbacher, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals, and Natalee Scribner who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Lubkeman, who scored five points along with two blocks.
Moorcroft has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Wright, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Moorcroft will be playing in front of their home fans against Newcastle at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Moorcroft is on a three-game streak of home losses, Newcastle a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Wright will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Tongue River at 4:00 p.m. on February 9th. Tongue River will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Wright surely won't give up without a fight.
