Football Recap: Crystal Springs Comes Up Short

Crystal Springs extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They were outmatched by Jefferson County and fell 42-0. If Crystal Springs was looking for revenge after losing 42-20 to Jefferson County when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Jefferson County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. Their offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaheim Day, who threw for 137 yards and three TDs. Jamahad Robinson handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Coincidentally, Crystal Springs and Jefferson County will both be playing Port Gibson the next time they take the field. Jefferson County will host Port Gibson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Crystal Springs will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
