Berwick had won 18 straight home games dating back to last season and Julia Rauch did her part to make it 19 on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Valley View Cougars 3-0 for which the team can thank Rauch, who had 14 digs and one block. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Berwick was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-13, 25-13.

Berwick had a senior duo take command as Angie Colone had nine kills and eight digs and Zoey Force had 11 digs and four aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Riera-Gomez, who had six kills, three digs, and three blocks.

Berwick was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley View only served two.

Valley View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Layla Marino, who had eight digs and five kills. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Evans, who had six digs and four blocks.

Berwick's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Valley View, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 8-11.

Coming up, Berwick will challenge Abington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
