Baseball Game Preview: Berkeley Springs Indians vs. Hancock Panthers

The Berkeley Springs Indians will take on the Hancock Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Mountain Ridge hit Berkeley Springs with a four-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians fell just short of the Miners by a score of 9-8. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berkeley Springs got a massive performance out of Conner Maconaughey, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and four RBI. Shawn Mccumbee was another key player, going 1-for-4 with five stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Hancock came up short against Saint James on Monday, falling 21-5. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Berkeley Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
