Verdugo Hills' tournament run continued when they took on Roosevelt on Monday. Verdugo Hills fell just short of Roosevelt by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Dons have lost by just one run.

Ethan Sanchez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cutlor Gouger-Fannon, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Kennedy lost 12-2 to Calabasas on Monday.

Verdugo Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
