Tompkins is a perfect 10-0 against Katy since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Tompkins' last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Friday just wasn't the day for Tompkins' offense. They fell just short of Seven Lakes by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Tompkins have struggled against Seven Lakes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Katy challenged Paetow on Friday. The Tigers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. The victory was all the more spectacular given Katy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Paetow are ranked 135th).

Anthony Ayodele and Riley Revere scored all three of Katy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Tompkins' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-2 and their overall record down to 5-3-3. As for Katy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6-3.

Tompkins was able to grind out a solid victory over Katy in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, winning 5-3. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
