Soccer Recap: Tahquitz Takes a Loss

Tahquitz's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the West Valley Mustangs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 806th, while the Mustangs are ranked 270th).

This is the second loss in a row for Tahquitz and nudges their season record down to 5-9-2. As for West Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-2 record this season.

Tahquitz will welcome Temescal Canyon at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Valley, they will head out to face off against San Jacinto at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. West Valley's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
