The Frontier Titans will venture away from home to  face off against the Highland Scots  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Frontier 3.1, Highland 3) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Frontier took a loss when they played away from home  on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Friday. They walked away with  a   7-3  victory over Garces Memorial.

 Taylor Sloss made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 Sloss wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Bailey Freeborn, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Emma Parnell also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Highland fought the good fight in their extra-innings  match against Independence  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of  5-4. The Scots' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 Lilliana Garcia spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and four unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate,  Madelyn Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.  Nevaeh Rodriquez was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with three  stolen bases and one  run.
 Frontier is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6-2.
Wednesday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Frontier hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .328. However, it's not like Highland struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Everything went Frontier's way against Highland when the teams last played  back in February of 2024, as Frontier made off with  a  9-1 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success,  or do  the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
