Volleyball Recap: Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Gateway Legacy Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plainfield East Bengals.

Plainfield East found their leader in sophomore Elianna Aguirre, who had five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Aguirre.

Gateway Legacy Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Plainfield East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.

Coming up, Gateway Legacy Christian Academy will face off against Vashon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Plainfield East, they will challenge Plainfield South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bengals are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
