Baseball Recap: Easton Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Easton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Cambridge-South Dorchester on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 16-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won eight in a row.

Dustin Blue made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Blue was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Cassell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with seven RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayden Webb, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Easton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Easton pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Cambridge-South Dorchester, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
