Basketball Recap: Monroe Campus Comes Up Short

If Monroe Campus was riding high fresh off their 87-57 takedown of Kennedy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Monroe Campus were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 53-52 to the Marshall Academy Panthers. The matchup marked Monroe Campus' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Monroe Campus' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Marshall Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Monroe Campus will square off against Stevenson at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Monroe Campus is facing Stevenson at the right time seeing as Stevenson is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Marshall Academy, they will take on Constitution at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Constitution knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Marshall Academy likes a good challenge.
