Softball Game Preview: Kamiak Knights vs. Jackson Timberwolves

Kamiak hasn't had much luck against Jackson recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. Kamiak is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Kamiak was able to grind out a solid win over Marysville Getchell, taking the game 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Cam Hansen was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Martinez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Jackson came up short against Eastmont on Tuesday and fell 5-1.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Kamiak, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Jackson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kamiak hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326.
