Basketball Game Preview: Mulvane Wildcats vs. Andale Indians

Mulvane hasn't had much luck against Andale recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Mulvane Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Andale Indians at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Mulvane ended up a good deal behind Wellington and lost 66-48. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Crusaders are ranked 92nd).

Meanwhile, Andale came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Wildcats, posting a 77-43 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Andale pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for Mulvane, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Mulvane beat Andale 61-52 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mulvane since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
