Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitley County). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets a 22-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Colonels have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Whitley County let EJ Allen and Kip Allen run wild. EJ went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Kip went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most RBI EJ has posted since back in April. D Parker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Whitley County is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Williamsburg, their defeat was their 29th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-25.
