Shelton is 2-7 against Sheehan since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Gaels will challenge the Titans at 4:15 p.m. Shelton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.8 runs per game this season.

Shelton's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Mercy hitters got past them. The Gaels lost 10-3 to the Tigers on Monday. The loss was the Gaels' first of the season.

Avery Wheeler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season.

Meanwhile, Sheehan got the win against Sacred Heart Academy on Monday by a conclusive 11-1.

Sheehan's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Shelton, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Shelton came up short against Sheehan in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Gaels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
