Basketball Recap: Burges Gets the Win

Burges posted their closest win since February 7, 2025 on Monday. It was close, but they capped 2025 with a 62-60 victory over the Boerne Greyhounds.

It was another big night for Anthony Rubio, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 25 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Sanchez, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 14 points and five assists.

Burges' win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Boerne, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Burges has already played their next contest, a 62-44 loss against Boerne-Champion on the 29th. As for Boerne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-42 victory against Pleasanton on the 30th.
