Basketball Recap: Atlanta Jewish Academy Comes Up Short

Atlanta Jewish Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Furtah Prep Falcons 78-26. The matchup marked the Jaguar's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Atlanta Jewish Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aryeh Cohen, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Yaakov Spaner, who had six points.

Atlanta Jewish Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Furtah Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Holy Spirit Prep the next time they take the court. Furtah Prep will host Holy Spirit Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Atlanta Jewish Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
