Volleyball Recap: North Smithfield Takes a Loss

North Smithfield had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-7 to make it six. They came up short against the Chariho Chargers, falling 3-0. The Northmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Chariho, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chariho to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxson Vachon, who had ten digs and two aces.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Smithfield is set to take on their familiar foe Barrington at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Chariho will square off against rival La Salle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
