Baseball Recap: Castle Knights vs. North Posey Vikings
Castle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the North Posey Vikings. Castle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Posey apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For North Posey's part, Easton Luigs was incredible, going 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Angel, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Castle's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for North Posey, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.
Castle will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Evansville Memorial at 5:00 p.m. Evansville Memorial is coming into the match with three straight victories on the road, so Castle will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for North Posey, they will take on Forest Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Posey's favor is that they have posted big run totals in their last four games.
