Recap: Whitman Vikings vs. Quince Orchard Cougars
The Whitman Vikings had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Quince Orchard and snuck past 70-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Whitman has posted yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Whitman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Farrell, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Farrell has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Titian DeRosa was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Whitman's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Quince Orchard, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Whitman will be playing in front of their home fans against Seneca Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Quince Orchard, they will head out on the road to take on Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bethesda-Chevy Chase is ranked 90th, while Quince Orchard is ranked 109th).
