Baseball Game Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Copper Hills Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Bingham will face off against Copper Hills. The Miners will welcome the Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Bingham's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Copper Hills has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

Bingham barely beat Copper Hills the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Miners were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Grizzlies on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won seven in a row.

Logan Davis looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zach Sorenson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Kam Beck was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Bingham kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Copper Hills only managed three hits.

Bingham's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Copper Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
