Recap: Chavez Lobos vs. Milby Buffs
On Tuesday, Chavez didn't have quite enough to beat Milby and fell 26-24. Chavez has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Milby to victory were Myah Guerra and Ke'lia Smith. Guerra scored 7 points along with 11 rebounds, while Smith scored 9 points along with 8 steals. Smith hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Chavez has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-9-1 record this season. As for Milby, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
Chavez will head out on the road to face off against Westbury at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westbury is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Milby will take on Galena Park at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Galena Park is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
