Basketball Recap: Craigmont Takes a Loss

Craigmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 56-32 to the Booker T. Washington Warriors. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Chiefs struggled afterwards.

Antaniya Britt was her usual excellent self, going 9 of 15 en route to 19 points in addition to seven boards and five assists for Booker T. Washington. Britt's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Malia Johnson was another key player, going 6 for 7 on her way to 14 points and three steals.

Craigmont's record now sits at 6-13. As for Booker T. Washington, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Craigmont will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brighton at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for Booker T. Washington, they will square off against Manassas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
