Basketball Game Preview: Colon Magi vs. Pittsford Wildcats

The Colon Magi will head out to square off against the Pittsford Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Colon has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 186 points over their last three contests.

Last Friday, Colon didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Climax-Scotts, but they still walked away with a 61-55 victory. The win continues a trend for the Magi in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Pittsford strolled past Camden-Frontier with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 54-35.

Pittsford pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Colon, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.

Colon was able to grind out a solid victory over Pittsford when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 48-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
