Basketball Recap: Springdale Bulldogs vs. First Assembly Christian Crusaders
Springdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 63-51 to the First Assembly Christian Crusaders. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 12 points.
DANIEL TOWLES had a dynamite game For First Assembly Christian., dropping a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards. TOWLES is becoming a predictor of the Crusaders' success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of JAELYN BLACKWELL, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 16 points in addition to six boards and five assists.
Springdale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for First Assembly Christian, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Springdale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for First Assembly Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Munford at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
