Basketball Recap: Reidsville Takes a Loss

Reidsville lost against West Stokes two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Reidsville Rams were dealt a 66-39 loss at the hands of the West Stokes Wildcats.

West Stokes was led to victory by Claire Edmonds and Chloe Shiffert. Edmonds went 7-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and seven rebounds, while Shiffert went 9-for-14 on her way to 18 points and eight boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Edmonds has scored at least a third of West Stokes' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Hall, who posted four points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Reidsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for West Stokes, their record is now 11-13.

Reidsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Stokes, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-31 defeat against North Forsyth on the 18th.
