Basketball Recap: Coshocton Christian Comes Up Short

Coshocton Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Warsaw W Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Coshocton Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-56 back in January.

Leatyn Holdsworth had an outrageously good game for Warsaw W as he went 9 of 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Holdsworth a new career-high in points. Cohen Deeds was another key player, putting up five points and nine assists.

Coshocton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Warsaw W, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Coshocton Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Kingsway Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Coshocton Christian has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests. As for Warsaw W, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reimer Road Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
