Volleyball Recap: Evie Steinberg Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

Coal Ridge typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Battle Mountain proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Titans. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Battle Mountain took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14.

Battle Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evie Steinberg, who had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most assists Steinberg has posted since October 9th. The team also got some help courtesy of Sky Gwin, who had four digs and two aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Battle Mountain and bumps their season record up to 17-3. As for Coal Ridge, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.
