Wellsboro extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Wellsboro Hornets vs. North Penn-Liberty Mountie
The Wellsboro Hornets suffered their closest loss yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of North Penn-Liberty by a score of 45-43. Wellsboro was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Penn-Liberty apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
North Penn-Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Harman led the charge by scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Luke Kreger was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Wellsboro dropped their record down to 8-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Penn-Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellsboro will face off against Athens at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Penn-Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Cowanesque Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
