Allen East comes up short despite Carson Clum's dominant performance

It was a good run, but the Allen East Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 65-47 bruising from Liberty-Benton. Allen East has struggled against Liberty-Benton recently, as their match on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Allen East lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carson Clum. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Clum is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Brooks, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Allen East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Liberty-Benton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Allen East and Crestview will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Crestview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Allen East in Ohio (Crestview is ranked 166th, while Allen East is ranked 429th). Liberty-Benton will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against McComb at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. McComb is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
