Baseball Recap: Siuslaw Comes Up Short

Siuslaw lost to Sutherlin on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Siuslaw saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Fitzsimmons, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Siuslaw's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sutherlin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.

Coming up, Siuslaw will be playing in front of their home fans against Coquille at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sutherlin, they will head out on the road to challenge Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
