            Basketball Recap: Garner Trojans vs. South Garner Titans        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Sanderson  last Friday, Garner came back down to earth. The Garner Trojans were beaten by the South Garner Titans 67-16 on Tuesday. The  match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
 Kaitlyn Dean was Garner's leading scorer, having posted seven points.   Sumayah Jones held things down on the boards with six rebounds.   Aniyah Williams took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
 South Garner found their leader in freshman  Harleigh Clark, who  went 6 of 9  on her way to 14  points and six  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  Clark has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Calise Crawford, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and 12  rebounds.
Garner's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-4. As for South Garner, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Garner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  62-14  defeat against Willow Spring on the 19th. As for South Garner, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  65-19  win against Clayton on the 19th.
