Cypress Ridge won the last time they faced Northbrook and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rams put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 16-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Edelin Barrios made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ariel Arambula was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Priscilla Garza was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.

Cypress Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 8.8.

Cypress Ridge's record now sits at 6-13. As for Northbrook, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Ridge will face off against rival Jersey Village at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northbrook is set to challenge their familiar foe Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
