Basketball Recap: Kennedale Falls Short of Mabank in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennedale can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mabank Panthers by a score of 54-51 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Panthers are ranked 90th).

Kennedale's loss dropped their record down to 19-16. As for Mabank, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-6 record this season.

Kennedale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mabank, they will face off against Decatur on Monday. Decatur will roll in looking for their 32nd straight win, something Mabank surely won't give up without a fight.
