Volleyball Recap: Maple Grove Wins High-Profile Game Against Elk River

Maple Grove faced Elk River in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Crimson walked away with a 3-1 win over the Elks. This was a revenge game for the Crimson: when they faced off against the Elks back in April, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Maple Grove found their leader in sophomore Jonathan He, who had 17 digs and four assists. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for He.

Maple Grove pushed their record up to 14-12 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Elk River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Maple Grove nor Elk River have any future games scheduled.
