Basketball Recap: Classical Sets Scoring Season-High Against Trinity

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Classical). Everything went their way against the Trinity Celtics on Tuesday as they made off with a 57-36 win. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Classical had a senior duo take command as Jane Neill shot 47% from the field en route to 18 points and four steals and Maggie Neill posted 18 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jane has scored all season.

Classical is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Trinity, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Classical and School of the Ozarks will compete for holiday cheer at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trinity, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sterling on January 6, 2026.
