Basketball Recap: Carter Chapman Key Part of a Team Effort in Thunder Win

There's no place like home for Buhach Colony, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Rio Linda Knights by a score of 66-55 on Friday. This was payback for the Thunder, who suffered a 64-46 loss the last time these two teams met.

Buhach Colony's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Chapman led the charge by going 7 for 16 on his way to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Chapman has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Cortez, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and six steals.

Buhach Colony's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Rio Linda, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Buhach Colony wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-39 defeat against Oakdale on the 10th. As for Rio Linda, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-47 loss against Roseville on the 10th.
