Notre Dame put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let the Midland Rebels on the board, marking the Pioneers' second-straight 16-0 shutout. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 22 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Notre Dame got a big performance out of Anna Francis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits Francis has posted over her last three games. Another player making a difference was Gretchen Guinn, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Notre Dame was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .700. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Notre Dame's win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 25-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Midland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will head out to take on Jennings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Midland, they will venture away from home to square off against Carencro at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
