Baseball Recap: Walton Triumphs

Walton lost to Destin back in February of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Braves walked away with an 8-4 win over the Sharks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Ceaton Ealum made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rem Sullivan, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Walton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-13 when he doesn't). Timmy Busby was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Walton's record is now 4-14. As for Destin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walton will host Paxton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Destin, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Freeport at 6:00 p.m.
