Serra Catholic is 9-1 against Riverview since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will square off against the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Serra Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
While Serra Catholic's win against Brentwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Spartans 14-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since May 23, 2025.
Bodi Rieger and Jacob Ramsey made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Rieger struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Ramsey tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Rieger has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Rieger went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Ramsey went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two runs gave Ramsey a new career-high.

In other batting news, Serra Catholic let Jake Jellison and Aiden Corbett run wild. Jellison went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Corbett went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Corbett a new career-high. Max Black was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Serra Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Riverview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Dynamos. Considering the Raiders have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lukas Duncan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Dom Del Rosso also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Serra Catholic's record is now 7-5. As for Riverview, their record now sits at 11-3.
Serra Catholic was able to grind out a solid win over Riverview in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
