Soccer Recap: Lee County Comes Up Short

Lee County and Eastern Alamance squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lee County had to settle for second. They lost 7-1 to the Eagles. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Lee County were already down 6-0.

Lee County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Eastern Alamance, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-1-2.

Lee County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern Alamance, they will face off against Carrboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern Alamance will need to watch out since Carrboro have now posted at least four goals in their last 15 games.
