Football Recap: Kimball Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Kimball unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 27-0 loss at the hands of the Mansfield Timberview Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 405th, while the Wolves are ranked 121st).

Kimball didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ace Aguilar and Damarion Petty.

Cedric Portley was nothing short of spectacular for Mansfield Timberview: he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns.

Kimball didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-20 victory against Pine Bluff on the 6th. As for Mansfield Timberview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 20-12 loss against Ryan on the 4th.
