Baseball Recap: North Takes a Loss

North came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-4 to the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to the Fighting Irish when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jacob Breen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Ethan Grinstead was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

North now has a losing record of 7-8. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, North is taking a road trip to take on Kenston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Padua Franciscan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight.
