Volleyball Recap: Northeastern Comes Up Short

Northeastern lost against Cedarville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jets lost 3-0 to the Indians. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cedarville can attribute much of their success to Mackenzie Ankeney, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Ankeney a new career-high. Ainsley Walker also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Cedarville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Northeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Madison Plains on the 11th. As for Cedarville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Fairbanks on the 11th.
