Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Finds Playoff Glory Versus Ichabod Crane

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Catholic Central walked away with it. They took down the Ichabod Crane Riders 77-62 on Sunday. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Riders: they've now won seven in a row.

Sei'Mir Roberson was his usual excellent self, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 41 points and six steals. His big performance that afternoon made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Qwameik Smith, who went 8-for-14 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Catholic Central was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 12-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Catholic Central's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Ichabod Crane, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Catholic Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-66 victory against Hudson Falls on the 5th. Ichabod Crane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
