Flag Football Game Preview: Mountain View Toros vs. Hamilton Huskies + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in TIERAH METCALF and Marlie Phillips are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Mountain View Toros will challenge the Hamilton Huskies at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mountain View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Desert Vista with a sharp 31-7 victory.

Meanwhile, Hamilton's offense rose to the challenge against a Pioneers defense that boasted an average of only 13.92 points allowed on Wednesday. The Huskies breezed past Pinnacle to the tune of 48-3. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Pioneers are ranked 31st).

Mountain View's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.3 points on average over those games. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 18-0.

Mountain View was taken down by Hamilton 35-6 when the teams last played back in October. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Phillips, who threw for 287 yards and four TDs. Now that the Toros know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
