Soccer Recap: Bell Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bell walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lafayette Hornets on Monday, sneaking past 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Maicol Martinez and RJ Leffler scored both of Bell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Bell is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six contests. As for Lafayette, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Bell will challenge Branford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bell is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. Lafayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
