Softball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-2 to the Kingston Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Middie Bears of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Middletown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madasyn Butler, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kingston, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middletown will take on rival Pine Bush at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kingston is set to challenge their familiar foe Monroe-Woodbury at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
